Default printers and USB printing

Google has recently launched a policy for Public Sessions and Logged In users to be able to mark a printer as the default printer that they would like to use.  This is available in Chrome 48 onwards, an enterprise administrator can set this policy from the Chrome management console.

Google have implemented and launched the APIs and HP have implemented it into their Chrome extension avalaible here
